The limited edition Clear Classic USB Joystick lets you enjoy old school gaming on a Mac or PC.

We worked with Legacy Engineering (the guys behind the Atari Flashback 2 retro console) to
recreate this iconic design in transparent plastic.

When you plug the stick into your computer's USB port, it lights up with a brilliant blue glow that illuminates from the inside out. Even the circuit board at the heart of the stick is blue!

Many people are rediscovering retro gaming on a PC or Mac, but playing those games with a modern gamepad just isn't the same. With the Clear Classic USB Joystick,  you're playing retro games the right way.

Hundreds of vintage 8-bit games are available for free download from AtariAge.

The Clear Classic USB Joystick is compatible with almost all  emulators that runs Atari, Amiga and Commodore software. It even works with MAME and modern games that use a standard USB joystick controller.

DIYers will be happy to hear that the USB controller board can be removed from the case and used as a standalone control interface for a MAME arcade cabinet or homebuilt game controller. The board even includes labeled solder points to connect an arcade joystick (4 or 8 way) and up to 8 additional controls such as authentic arcade buttons, a coin mechanism or even a second stick.

The complete package includes the joystick, numbered certificate of authenticity, and a 5 foot USB cable.

Remember that this clear design is a limited edition that will sell out quickly. Order today!

Runs Stella, the Atari 2600 Emulator

Stella is an Atari 2600 emulator that runs on Windows, Mac OS and Linux.  You can download it  free to enjoy hundreds of  vintage titles available on AtariAge.

The program can run in full-screen mode on your computer for maximum realism. ROM cartridge images load directly from disk, and the program includes a simple menu-driven user interface that'll have you playing vintage 8-bit games within minutes.  It's the easiest way to enjoy 2600 titles without having to set up the original console.

TV Effects make LCD monitors look better

A classic 8-bit game played on a modern LCD doesn't look quite right. The colors are too precise, the graphics too angular. There's no ghosting as the TV tube lags behind the on-screen action. The experience is too sterile.

To solve this problem, Stella includes TV Effects such as Color Texture, Image Noise and Color Bleed to reproduce the imperfections of a tube TV.

Here's a look at LadyBug with TV Effects added to the left side of the screen. Unlike the 1980s, you can make the image as clean or noisy as you wish.
